About Me
Hi, I’m Heather — a journalist, content strategist, and storyteller with more than 20 years of experience helping people and organizations tell meaningful stories.

My career has taken me from newsrooms and nonprofits to tech companies and freelance projects, where I’ve written across a wide range of industries and formats. At my core, I’m a reporter and narrative thinker: I’m endlessly curious about people, what drives them, and how work, health, and identity shape our lives.

Today, I’m the co-founder, co-host, and editor of Another Bloody Podcast, where we explore women’s health with a mix of research, storytelling, and candid conversation. I also created Out of the Office, a reported narrative series examining unemployment, reinvention, and the complicated relationship between work and identity.

Alongside my journalism work, I’ve spent the last decade in tech leading content strategy for everything from blogs and special editorial sections to large-scale AI-assisted content initiatives. I’m deeply familiar with SEO best practices and known for making complex or technical topics accessible, human, and engaging.

Over the years, I’ve managed editorial teams, launched high-impact content programs, and used AI thoughtfully to scale output without sacrificing quality. My work has helped organizations drive engagement, grow audiences, and build trust through clear, authentic storytelling.

Clarity of voice is one of my superpowers, as is translating big or complicated ideas into language that feels natural and relatable. Whether I’m interviewing a source, collaborating with designers and developers, or writing solo in the quiet hours of the morning, I bring curiosity, rigor, and care to every project.

I believe great storytelling doesn’t just inform — it helps people feel seen, understood, and a little less alone.
If you’re looking for someone who can bring journalistic instincts, strategic thinking, and just the right amount of sparkle to your content, I’d love to connect.
